Task 6 - Personal Promotion Item

The two main things I've been working on as a promotional item are new business cards and planning out a future website, I've also been working on updating my brand and creating ways of increasing interaction on my Instagram. Newly designed business cards to use for now: Business cards I’ve designed for future use: I’d like to make more changes to these business cards before I actually produce them such as decorating the blank space more. This is my plan for my future website: I plan for my cat mascot at the top to have animation to it, for example their eyes would follow your cursor and their wings would flutter every so often. Also this is another thing I’ve been working on, emotes of myself to use in my Instagram and maybe some posts to add a more personal touch: I’ve also been working on a way to increase my interactions on Instagram by giving away free phone wallpapers that I’ve designed, every Wednesday I’ll post new wallpaper on my Instagram story (wallpaper Wednesdays) ...

Task 3 - Creative Statement

What I initially wanted to include: • Materials I use, mainly traditional, developing digital skills, highlighters, pencil, coloured pencil. • Aspirations: comic artist, character illustration, freelance work, selling at stalls, already sold at Longrest Bar and Cafe and Stoke-on-Trent Comic Con, make and sell, specialised markets. • Education, studies at Staffordshire University, BA Hons Illustration and wanting to do a MA in illustration for character illustration. Creative Statement: I'm an Illustrator who specialises in character illustration and avidly attends makers markets and cons to sell my work; I also regularly sketch out work fast for my comic ideas.

I would like to work with Longrest, both to continue selling at makers markets and I'd also love it if they wanted to commission me for illustrations for their menus or advertisements as I know they've commissioned up and coming illustrators and graphic designers before. They seem to be very friendly towards artists and understand how much time and effort we put into our work, so they'd be great to work for and communicate well with.
